What is required during the grant period?
The project outlined in your proposal is expected to occur during 2027. Here is a sample grant agreement that you will need to sign when you accept the grant. This includes:
|
Orientation Conference
All project teams will need to send 1 or 2 lay or rostered leaders to the opening training weekend conference at the Embassy Suites in Kissimmee. This conference has practical talks, exchanges of ideas and in introduction to coaching, all of which lead to stronger starts for V2A grants. This event will be scheduled for mid-January 2027. (Dinner Church grants will attend a series of online training sessions in January and February 2027 in place of this in-person training.) |
Participating in Coaching
A coach will be assigned to your project. The Synod is investing in your project by providing you with a coach to help you be successful. You are required to meet with this coach a minimum of 4 times on Zoom (once per quarter) during your grant year. You are also required to attend zoom sessions with other grantees in a collaborative training session each quarter. |
